Yavatmal circle was created on 15/09/1983 by carring out from Amravati circle. This circle consists of four Territorial Forest Divisions’ namely Yavatmal, Pusad Pandharkawada and Akola. Each of this division is headed by Dy. Conservator of Forests. Division wise area details of this circle are as under.

The Jurisdiction of this circle extents to forest area of Yavatmal, Akola & Washim districts. The forests area in divided with four Forests Division (units) namely Yavatmal, Pusad, Pandharkawada in Yavatmal District & Akola forest division in Akola & Washim district.The area detail is as under

The boundary of Pandharkawada Forest Division touches State of Andhra & that of Yavatmal Foriest Division touches Mararthwada region of Maharashtra state.
