This Act will be applicable in the entire state of Maharashtra. |

The said Act shall apply to eligible persons, public authorities and local bodies providing public services as per the provisions of any law, rule, notification, order, government decision or any other instrument. It shall also apply to the services notified under the Right to Public Services Act. E.g. Forest Department |

The Act has been enacted to provide transparent, efficient and timely public services to eligible persons and to bring transparency and accountability among public authorities providing public services to eligible persons. |

The said Act is applicable to the public services notified by the public authority as per Section-3 of the Right to Public Service Act. At present, a total of 13 services have been notified in the Forest Department under this Act. |
